Voluntary Program
The Voluntary Program was designed to provide Rainbow Haven's services to the community at large. Voluntary Program services do not include housing or accountability assistance, but we do make the educational and support aspects of our organization available to anyone who might be interested. In the voluntary program, clients may choose any of the program components listed below and design an educational or support program that best meets their needs.
Group Classes
Group Classes on a variety of topics are available to those in the community who have an interest. Subjects are taught from a Biblical perspective. These classes are provided at no charge to the attendee. Classes meet on Monday, Tuesday and Thrusday nights, 7 pm - 8:30 pm. Classes repeat every six months. If you register for a topic, you must attend all the classes in that group. If you miss a session, you will have to wait for the class to be given again to complete the topic. Children are not allowed to attend. Childcare is not provided. Please call 765-659-4739 if you are interested in attending. You may attend any set of classes on a specific topic or attend all the classes. Call for a listing of upcoming topics.
Volunteer Opportunities in Frankfort
A listing of volunteer opportunities are available for all residents. If a resident is not working full time to fulfill their qualifying time, they will be required to complete 10 hours of volunteer time each week. Rainbow Haven Transitional Housing, Inc. is willing to assist any organization who would like to list their volunteer opportunity and pass that information on the groups looking for volunteer service.
Life Skills Education
Our Life Skills Education program consists of educational packets in the areas of social skills, consumerism, and employability. Knowledge acquisition is measured through pre and post tests.
Substance Abuse Classes
Classes are taught using a Biblical perspective of substance recovery. Individual sessions are available to residents but group classes are open to the public. There is a fee of $45 for materials to attend all 13 classes. The classes are forming now so please call 765-659-4739 if you are interested in finding out more about RAPHA.
