The Mandatory Program was designed to provide Rainbow Haven's services to individuals who do not need assistance with housing but could benefit from the education and support our agency offers with the accountability provided through the Probation office and other local government and Social Service agencies. This provides a faith-based choice to those individuals who are being given mandatory educational and case management requirements through the court systems. Most individuals in the Mandatory Program are admitted through referral only.
The Mandatory Program consists of any combination of the following main components:
The case management provided through Rainbow Haven is Biblically - based and fundamentally evangelistic. The Executive Director and client meet as often as is mandated by the client's probation officer or social services worker in order to discuss the client's individualized long and short term goals as well as the plan of action necessary to complete those goals. Most case management lasts between 6 months and one year.
Clients may be assigned to any or all of the group classes taught during the rotating six month curriculum cycle. If a client is assigned to a class, attendance at all classes on that topic is mandatory. Progress reports are available. To see a list of topics taught during Group Classes click here.
Counseling is provided at no charge to each of our residents and their family. It is based on Biblical principles and is provided by trained counselors. This counseling offers solutions to issues that have kept the resident in the situaiton they are experiencing. By working through concerns, true healing and resolution can be foung.
Individuals assigned community service through the local Probation or Welfare offices may work off their mandated Community Service time at Rainbow Haven assisting staff. Interested individuals may contact the Executive Director, their Probation officer, or Welfare case worker to request to work at Rainbow Haven.
