Donations
Rainbow Haven exists because faithful individuals, churches, service organizations, or clubs believe in the mission we are trying to do here in Clinton County and support us financially and prayerfully on a regular basis. If you or your group would like to be involved in supporting Rainbow Haven there are several ways to do so.
1. Monthly or Yearly Pledges
The majority of the funding for our ministry comes from our Monthly Pledges. Many different individuals and groups have pledged to support us financially on a monthly basis. If you are interested in becoming a monthly donor please contact our office and speak to the Executive Director. We have Automatic Bank Withdrawal available as well as convenient mail-back envelopes for your ease of use.
2. Be involved in the annual Homeward Bound Walk
Our next Homeward Bound 5K walk will be held Sunday, April 20th, 2008 at the Howard Center, corner of 18th Street and Union Street in Lafayette, IN. You, your ogranization or church group can walk to help support the mission of Rainbow Haven Transitional Housing, Inc. If you make that you want to support Rainbow Haven on your registration form, all proceeds from your donation will go directly to the continued operation of Rainbow Haven Transitional Housing, Inc. 3. Sign up for long - distance phone service through ACCXX Long Distance under Rainbow Haven
Benefits of doing this include 3.9 cents / minute all over the country, great international rates, same rates 24 hours / day 7 days / week, not a dial around program (just dial 1, area code, and number), and 10 % of your bill is donated back to Rainbow Haven. There are no monthly fees, no minimums, and 6 second billing. Many of the staff and Board members as well as the Rainbow Haven office use Accxx Communications for our long distance phone service and we are all incredibly happy with it. 4. Sponsor a fundraising event for Rainbow Haven at your church or with your organization.
Many different groups of people have sponsored fundraisers for Rainbow Haven. Your group can hold a bake sale, a purse auction, a car wash, a silent auction, etc with the goal of raising funds to contribute to Rainbow Haven. Call or email the office for more info.
5. Supplying needed items from our Wishlist
For those that are not able to support Rainbow Haven financially but would like to assist in our mission there is another way that you can help. Rainbow Haven has a list of frequently used items called our Wishlist. Every frequently used item that is donated saves us money in the long run and is just as helpful to us as a financial contribution. If you choose to donate items from our Wishlist, you may drop them by our offices at any time or call to arrange for a volunteer to pick them up.
We also take donations for our Food Pantry and our Bright Beginning program. If you or someone you know has a reliable vehicle they would like to donate for our residents to have, we would be pleased to assist you in placing a new or used vehicle in our Wheels to Work program.
