Additional Services

As different needs arise for our residents and non-residential clients we attempt to meet them to the best of our agency's ability. Several of the additional resources we offer our ladies are as follows.

Bright Beginnings

Rainbow Haven Transitional Housing provides household items to our residents who are graduating to supply thier new homes. This program is made possible through the donations of community members who bring household items to donate. We place these necessary items in a storage area and when the resident is ready to set up their home, they are allowed to take items. Any household items are needed. We take new or gently used items that you would need to furnish a home. Most residents do not have the means to keep their furniture and household items while residing at Rainbow Haven. If you would like to donate any items, please call our office at 765-659-4739 before bringing your donation to make arrangement for a staff member to be available to accept the donations.

Food Pantry

Many of the women who use our services come to our home with little or no food. We keep a well-stocked food pantry to assist with new residents until they get a job. If you would like to donate to our food pantry, please contact our office.

Wheels to Work Transportation Assistance Program

In the community in which we live having a reliable car is a necessity. We are endeavoring to keep a stock of donated cars available for our ladies. If you would like to donate your good-running and reliable car to our program we would be happy to provide you with a receipt for the Blue-Book value of your automobile. All of our cars are quickly turned over to ladies in need. Reliable transportation helps our ladies get back on their feet faster by enabling them to look for and keep well-paying jobs and to find appropriate child-care. If you are not able to donate an automobile but you are capable at auto repair or auto maintenance and would like to donate your services please contact our office.
